Description

Looking for a quick, healthy, and filling meal that doesn’t require a crust? This Tasty Tuna Crustless Quiche is the answer! It’s perfect for a low-carb lunch or dinner, packed with protein from the tuna and eggs, and full of flavor thanks to fresh herbs and veggies. Plus, it’s super easy to make—just mix, bake, and enjoy!

Ingredients

3 eggs

½ zucchini, grated

½ carrot, grated

½ onion, finely diced

1 cup canned tuna, drained

1 tablespoon fresh basil leaves, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

3 tablespoons cream cheese

3 tablespoons oats (or breadcrumbs)

Salt, to taste

½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients:
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  3. Grate the zucchini and carrot. Finely dice the onion. Drain the canned tuna thoroughly to remove any excess liquid.
  4. Chop the basil and dill into small pieces.
  5. Mix the Ingredients:
  6. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and cream cheese until smooth.
  7. Add the grated vegetables, chopped herbs, and drained tuna. Season with salt and pepper, then mix until everything is well combined.
  8. Stir in the oats (or breadcrumbs) to help absorb any extra moisture and bind the mixture together.
  9. Prepare for Baking:
  10. Line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly to prevent sticking. You can also use muffin tins for mini quiches.
  11. Pour the prepared mixture into your baking pan, spreading it out evenly.
  12. Bake the Quiche:
  13. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 20–30 minutes. The quiche is ready when the center is firm and a tester inserted comes out clean.
  14. Keep an eye on the quiche, as baking times may vary based on your oven.
  15. Cool, Slice, and Serve:
  16. Let the quiche cool slightly before slicing into portions.
  17. Serve immediately, or refrigerate for later use.
  18. Storage:
  19. Store leftover quiche in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can also freeze individual slices for up to 2 months—just thaw and reheat before serving.

Notes

  • Swap the Tuna: Replace the tuna with canned salmon, chicken, or smoked fish for a different twist.
  • Cream Cheese Alternatives: If you don’t have cream cheese, you can use ricotta, cottage cheese (blended until smooth), or Greek yogurt for a lighter option.
  • Add Extra Veggies: Feel free to add other vegetables like spinach, bell peppers, or mushrooms. Just make sure to chop them finely.
  • Herb Variations: If you don’t have basil or dill, you can try parsley, chives, or thyme for a different flavor profile.
