1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
 -
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
 -
In a large bowl, beat the sugar and softened butter until light and fluffy.
 -
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla and mashed bananas.
 -
Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until just combined.
 -
Fold in most of the chocolate chips, reserving a few to sprinkle on top.
 -
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and top with remaining chocolate chips.
 -
Bake for about 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
 -
Cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes
- Use overripe bananas for maximum sweetness and moisture.
 - For added texture, include chopped nuts or a sprinkle of oats on top.
 - Toss chocolate chips in a little flour to prevent them from sinking.
 - Store in an airtight container at room temp (3 days) or fridge (5 days).
 - Freeze slices or the whole loaf for up to 2 months.
