Ingredients

1 pre-made pie crust

4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved

1 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup cornstarch

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/4 teaspoon salt

Whipped cream, for serving


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Place pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish.

  2. In a saucepan, whisk together sugar, cornstarch, salt, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Stir in lemon juice and let cool slightly.
