Ingredients
1 cup water
1 black tea bag (or 1 tsp loose black tea)
1 tsp dried rose petals (food-grade)
1/4 tsp ground cardamom
1–2 tsp honey (adjust to taste)
Instructions
- In a small pot, bring 1 cup of water to a gentle boil. Add the black tea bag and let it steep for 3-5 minutes. Remove the tea bag once brewed.
- Infuse the Flavors:
- To the hot tea, add the dried rose petals and ground cardamom. Let it steep for another 2 minutes to allow the rose and cardamom to infuse into the tea.
- Prepare the Almond Milk:
- In a separate saucepan, heat 1 cup of almond milk over medium heat until warm but not boiling. If you like, you can froth the milk with a handheld frother or whisk for a creamier texture.
- Combine and Sweeten:
- Strain the rose petals and cardamom from the tea and pour the tea into your favorite mug. Add the warm almond milk to the mug and stir in honey to taste.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Optionally, sprinkle a few extra rose petals or a pinch of cardamom on top for a beautiful garnish. Sip and enjoy your soothing Rose Cardamom Tea Latte!
Notes
- Sweetener: You can substitute honey with maple syrup, agave, or stevia for a different sweetness level.
- Milk Options: If you prefer a richer taste, try using oat milk, coconut milk, or regular dairy milk instead of almond milk.
- Extra Spices: Add a dash of cinnamon for a warm, spiced twist.
- Iced Version: For a refreshing twist, let the tea cool and serve it over ice with cold almond milk.
