Description

Ingredients

½ cup fresh strawberries, hulled

1 teaspoon matcha powder

2 tablespoons hot water (not boiling)

¾ cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)

12 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional)

Ice cubes

Fresh strawberries for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Blend strawberries until smooth, then strain to remove seeds.
  2. Spoon strawberry purée into the bottom of a tall glass.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk matcha with hot water until frothy and lump-free.
  4. Slowly pour milk over the strawberry layer, using the back of a spoon to preserve separation.
  5. Gently pour the prepared matcha over the milk, again using a spoon or ice cubes to keep layers distinct.
  6. Garnish with fresh strawberries if desired and serve immediately.
