Ingredients
Basic Ingredients:
4 fresh eggs
2 tablespoons butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional Add-ins:
Fresh herbs (chives, parsley, dill)
Cheese (cheddar, feta, goat cheese)
Vegetables (spinach, mushrooms, bell peppers)
Cream or milk (for added creaminess)
Instructions
- Prepare the Eggs: Crack the eggs into a bowl, add a pinch of salt and pepper, and whisk gently until the yolks and whites are fully combined.
- Heat the Pan: Place a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat and add the butter. Let it melt and foam without browning.
- Cook the Eggs: Pour the beaten eggs into the skillet. Let them sit undisturbed for a few seconds, then gently stir with a spatula, pushing the eggs from the edges toward the center. Continue until the eggs are mostly set but still slightly runny.
- Finish Cooking: Remove the skillet from the heat. The residual heat will finish cooking the eggs to perfection. If desired, fold in any optional add-ins at this stage.
- Serve: Transfer the scrambled eggs to a plate and garnish with fresh herbs or cheese. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For soft and creamy scrambled eggs, cook over low heat, stirring gently and continuously.
- For a fluffy scramble, add a splash of milk or cream to the eggs before whisking.
- For cheese scramble, stir in cheese during the final moments of cooking.
- Herb scramble: Add finely chopped herbs before cooking for a burst of freshness.
