Instructions
- For the Lavender Simple Syrup:
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender
- For the Mocktail:
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from 4–7 lemons)
- 1 small bunch fresh mint leaves
- 2 cups cold water
- ¾ cup lavender simple syrup (chilled)
- Ice, to serve
- Optional Garnishes:
- Lemon slices
- Lavender buds
- Mint sprigs
Notes
- 1. Make Lavender Syrup:
In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, and dried lavender. Simmer for about 10 minutes until the sugar is dissolved and the lavender is infused.
Let the syrup steep for 1 hour. Strain to remove the lavender and chill the syrup in the refrigerator. - 2. Muddle Mint & Lemon:
In a pitcher, muddle the fresh mint leaves with freshly squeezed lemon juice to release the mint’s oils and flavors. - 3. Mix the Drink:
Add the cold water and chilled lavender syrup to the pitcher. Stir well to combine all the ingredients. - 4. Serve:
Pour the mixture into glasses filled with ice. Garnish with additional mint sprigs, lemon slices, or lavender buds for a beautiful finish.
