Salt and pepper, to taste
1/3 cup shaved parmigiano reggiano
1/4 cup fresh basil, torn or chopped
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Lemon Vinaigrette:
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (or 1 small garlic clove, minced)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare vinaigrette by whisking olive oil, lemon juice, vinegar, garlic, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
- Toss trimmed broccolini with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high. Cook broccolini for 6–10 minutes, turning occasionally, until lightly charred but tender-crisp.
- Transfer to a serving platter. Drizzle with vinaigrette, then sprinkle with parmesan, basil, and red pepper flakes.
- Toss gently, taste for seasoning, and serve warm or chilled.
Notes
- Roast broccolini at 400°F for 15–20 minutes if no grill is available.
- Pan-fry for a stovetop version.
- Swap parmesan with pecorino, asiago, or feta.
- Add toasted nuts like almonds, walnuts, or pine nuts for crunch.
- Try orange juice instead of lemon for a sweeter citrus flavor.
