Description

Garlic Butter Steak with Cheesy Alfredo Tortellini is a fast and indulgent dish combining Cajun-spiced steak bites with rich, creamy tortellini coated in Alfredo sauce. It’s a savory, restaurant-quality dinner that’s easy enough for busy weeknights and special enough to impress.

Ingredients

1 lb sirloin steak, cubed

9 oz cheese tortellini

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

1 tablespoon olive oil

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon ground black pepper

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut steak into bite-sized cubes. Season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

  3. Heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak cubes for 3–4 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet.

  4. Lower heat to medium-low. Add butter and garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.

  5. Return the steak to the skillet and coat in garlic butter. Remove from heat.

  6. In a separate saucepan, warm heavy cream over medium-low heat. Stir in Parmesan and cook until melted and creamy. Season to taste.

  7. Add cooked tortellini to the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat.

  8. Serve pasta topped with garlic butter steak. Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best Alfredo texture.
  • Don’t overcook the steak to keep it juicy.
  • Add spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrients and flavor.
  • Reheat gently to maintain creaminess and prevent steak from drying out.
  • Use half-and-half for a lighter sauce version.
