Ingredients
1 lb sirloin steak, cubed
9 oz cheese tortellini
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
-
Cut steak into bite-sized cubes. Season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
-
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
-
Heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak cubes for 3–4 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet.
-
Lower heat to medium-low. Add butter and garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
-
Return the steak to the skillet and coat in garlic butter. Remove from heat.
-
In a separate saucepan, warm heavy cream over medium-low heat. Stir in Parmesan and cook until melted and creamy. Season to taste.
-
Add cooked tortellini to the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat.
-
Serve pasta topped with garlic butter steak. Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.
Notes
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best Alfredo texture.
- Don’t overcook the steak to keep it juicy.
- Add spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrients and flavor.
- Reheat gently to maintain creaminess and prevent steak from drying out.
- Use half-and-half for a lighter sauce version.
