1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup milk
4 large eggs
½ cup onion, finely chopped
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
1 tablespoon olive oil (for sautéing)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
 - Sauté the Vegetables: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté for 5 minutes, until translucent. Add spinach and cook for 2-3 minutes, until wilted. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
 - Prepare the Egg Mixture: In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and nutmeg (optional) until smooth.
 - Combine the Ingredients: Stir the sautéed spinach and onion mixture into the egg mixture. Add the shredded cheddar cheese and mix to combine evenly.
 - Bake the Quiche: Pour the mixture into a greased 9-inch round baking dish. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the quiche is set and lightly golden on top.
 - Cool and Serve: Let the quiche cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
 
Notes
- Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. It’s great for reheating or eating cold as a quick snack.
 - Freezing: To freeze, let the quiche cool completely, then slice and wrap tightly before freezing. Reheat slices in the microwave or oven for a quick meal.
