Ingredients

Shrimp

  • 1/2 lb cooked shrimp (small bay shrimp or Oregon pink shrimp recommended), reserve a few for garnish

Base

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, ideally room temperature
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sour cream

Flavorings

  • 3 large scallions, chopped (reserve some for garnish)
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • 1/4 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill (reserve some for garnish)
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/8 tsp freshly ground black pepper


Instructions

  1. Prep Shrimp: Roughly chop the cooked shrimp and set aside a few whole ones for garnish.
  2. Combine Ingredients Using Food Processor: In a food processor, add cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, chopped scallions, lemon juice, hot sauce, and Old Bay seasoning. Pulse until the mixture is well combined, whipped, and creamy.
  3. Add Shrimp: Add the chopped shrimp to the food processor and pulse until evenly combined into the creamy base.
  4. Season and Finish: Taste the dip and add fresh dill, sea salt, and black pepper. Pulse again to mix thoroughly.
  5. Alternative Mixing Method: If using a hand mixer, blend cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth in a bowl. Stir in diced scallions, shrimp, lemon juice, hot sauce, Old Bay seasoning, dill, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Top the dip with reserved shrimp, fresh dill, and diced scallions. Serve chilled with veggies and crackers.
