Ingredients
For the Lobster
2 lobster tails (fresh or thawed if frozen)
For the Garlic Butter Sauce
½ cup melted unsalted butter (or olive oil for lighter version)
4 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 teaspoon garlic powder)
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (or substitute dill, thyme, or tarragon)
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
1 tablespoon lemon juice (or lime juice for variation)
½ teaspoon kosher salt
¼ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 500°F (200°C) on broil setting.
-
Using sharp kitchen scissors, cut through the top shell of each lobster tail lengthwise, stopping at the last segment. Gently pull lobster meat out, keeping it attached at the base, and rest on top of the shell.
-
In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, garlic, parsley, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
-
Brush lobster tails generously with garlic butter sauce.
-
Place under the broiler for 6–8 minutes, until the lobster meat is opaque white and reaches an internal temperature of 140–145°F.
-
Plate lobster tails, drizzle with remaining garlic butter sauce, and serve immediately.
Notes
- Add Parmesan cheese to the garlic butter sauce for extra richness.
- Serve lobster over pasta tossed in garlic butter for a heartier dish.
- Grill instead of broiling for a smoky flavor.
