Description

These Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies are chewy, fudgy, and loaded with rich chocolate and nutty peanut butter flavor. Made with just a few simple ingredients, they’re naturally gluten-free, quick to bake, and guaranteed to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Ingredients

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1 cup granulated sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

⅓ cup cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream peanut butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in egg and vanilla until incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Add dry mixture to peanut butter base and stir until combined.
  6. Roll dough into small balls and place on baking sheet.
  7. Use a fork to press a crisscross pattern on each cookie, flattening slightly.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are set but centers remain soft.
  9. Cool on baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Add chocolate chips for double chocolate flavor.
  • Use chunky peanut butter or add chopped peanuts for crunch.
  • Sprinkle sea salt on top before baking for a sweet-salty twist.
  • Swap egg for flax egg to make them vegan.
  • Slightly underbake for extra chewiness.
  • Store in an airtight container or freeze dough for future baking.
