This Blackberry Jalapeño Cream Cheese Chicken Bake brings together sweet, spicy, and creamy flavors in one easy-to-make dish. Juicy chicken breasts are topped with a rich cream cheese and honey mixture, fresh blackberries, and a hint of jalapeño for the perfect balance of heat and sweetness. Finished with lime juice and fresh cilantro, this baked chicken recipe is ideal for weeknight dinners, family meals, or impressing guests with minimal effort.

Ingredients

For the Chicken Bake:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 tbsp olive oil (15 ml)

8 oz cream cheese, softened (225 g)

1/4 cup honey (60 ml)

2 jalapeños, diced (adjust to taste)

1 tsp salt (5 g)

1/2 tsp black pepper (1 g)

2 cups blackberries (300 g)

1 tbsp fresh lime juice (15 ml)

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (15 g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil.
  2. Prepare the cream cheese mixture: In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese and honey. Stir in diced jalapeños, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Prepare the chicken: Place chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over each chicken breast.
  4. Add blackberries and lime: Arrange blackberries on top of the cream cheese layer. Drizzle fresh lime juice over the chicken and berries.
  5. Bake: Place in the oven and bake 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and juices run clear.
  6. Finish and serve: Let the dish rest for 5 minutes after baking. Sprinkle chopped cilantro over the top and serve warm.

Notes

  • Even Cooking: Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness for uniform baking.
  • Adjust Spice: Remove jalapeño seeds or reduce peppers for a milder dish.
  • Moisture Control: Pat blackberries dry to avoid watery chicken.
  • Flavor Tips: Use ripe blackberries and fresh cilantro for the best results.
