Ingredients
Fish:
- 1 pound mahi mahi, sliced into 6 strips
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon avocado oil, or olive oil
- ¼ cup cornmeal
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
For serving:
- 6 corn tortillas, or small flour tortillas
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 cup red cabbage, shredded
- 1 cup pico de gallo
Fish taco sauce:
- ¼ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 ½ tablespoons lime juice
- 1 teaspoon sriracha, or hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
- Prepare the fish: Slice the mahi mahi filets into 6 strips, coat with lime juice and avocado oil.
- Bread the fish: Combine cornmeal and taco seasoning, coat the fish strips.
- Cook the fish: Air fry the breaded fish for 8 minutes at 400°F.
- Prepare the sauce and assemble tacos: Mix fish taco sauce ingredients, heat tortillas, assemble tacos with fish and toppings.
Notes
- This recipe yields 6 tacos. Recommend 2-3 tacos per serving.
- For unbreaded fish, coat with lime juice, oil, and taco seasoning.
